Misleading listing and terrible stay – avoid this property Negative: We stay at West Residence Bromley was extremely disappointing. The listing photos are completely misleading and seem to be AI-generated — the property looks nothing like what’s advertised. One of the bedrooms had no bed at all, and another had broken bunk bed slats, making it unsafe for children. The place was filthy, with a strong, unpleasant smell throughout. mice everywhere. Towels and bedding were not clean, and there were mice and rats around the property. There were no toiletries, no proper dining area, and barely any space to sit. We booked for three adults and two children, including my disabled mother, but the conditions were unacceptable for anyone. Despite reaching out to the host multiple times, we received no real help or resolution. This property should not be listed in its current state. It was the worst accommodation experience we’ve ever had, and I strongly advise others to avoid it. Biggest con: Misleading photos and filthy, unsafe living conditions.

Underwhelming Positive: It was available on the same day so we appreciated that. The bed in the upstairs/loft bedroom was very comfortable. Negative: The parking area was dirty and we saw two rats. It needs cleaning up out there. The living area was very small with a tiny sofa that only fits two people. As it's an apartment with room for 6 people to sleep, it's not good enough to have such a small sofa. Also there is no dining area (no table and chairs to sit down to eat). The living space is small and cramped. The kitchen was ill equipped. We had to get in touch with the host because there was no cutlery, tea towels or dish cloths. The host bought these but we had to collect them ourselves from Sainsbury's which was a bit inconvenient and we shouldn't have to do this, especially for the price we paid for the apartment. There was no plug in the kitchen sink making washing up difficult. The hearing doesn't work (only the top floor room heating came on) and the host didn't rectify this before we checked out so we had two cold evenings in the living and bedroom areas. Only one of the beds had a bedside lamp. The double bed in the back bedroom didn't fit on the bedframe properly (it hangs over) and this mattress was incredibly uncomfortable. The bed bunk mattresses were very uncomfortable as well. This bed bunk was also slightly broken with two wooden planks from the top piece left underneath the bunk bed. There were no curtains or blinds in the living area which made it feel cold and uncomfortable in the evenings. There were burn marks on the floor and generally the apartment was a bit tatty which contradicts the way the host has advertised the apartment (Kent Stunning Apartment).

Positive: Bright and airy. Nice kitchen. Negative: The beds are very cheap and uncomfortable. The bunk beds are not stable. The shower head in upstairs room was covered in scale and the shower hose leaked.
